En h\u00e9breux, la ruse exprime la tromperie, la trahison, la duplicit\u00e9. Dans la mentalit\u00e9 grecque ce mot d\u00e9signe l\u2019astuce, mais dans le sens o\u00f9 la ruse repr\u00e9sente une fausse sagesse, ou m\u00eame un stratag\u00e8me habile&nbsp; pour pervertir la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. J\u00e9sus voit donc Nathana\u00ebl comme un homme honn\u00eate, vrai, et c\u2019est probablement la raison pour laquelle Il se d\u00e9voile \u00e0 lui comme le messie, le roi d\u2019Isra\u00ebl, et le dialogue entre ces deux hommes est tout empreint de v\u00e9rit\u00e9. J\u00e9sus ose r\u00e9v\u00e9ler \u00e0 Nathana\u00ebl qu\u2019il l\u2019a vu sous le figuier, arbre sous lequel se trouvait Nathana\u00ebl sans que personne ne puisse le voir selon lui, et de plus qu\u2019il le conna\u00eet. Pensant que c\u2019est humainement impossible, cette r\u00e9v\u00e9lation de J\u00e9sus appelle la foi de Nathana\u00ebl. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Mais J\u00e9sus remet tout de suite les valeurs \u00e0 leur juste place \u00ab&nbsp;Je te dis que je t\u2019ai vu sous le figuier, et c\u2019est pour cela que tu crois !&nbsp;\u00bb. La foi ne devrait pas \u00eatre seulement corr\u00e9l\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019extraordinaire du fait concret advenu peu avant. Il est bien humain d\u2019adh\u00e9rer \u00e0 J\u00e9sus en voyant ses dons extraordinaires, mais l\u2019Evangile de Jean nous met en garde. L\u2019extraordinaire, les miracles, ne sont pas la chose la plus importante pour celui qui veut suivre J\u00e9sus. Il demande la foi pure, qui va au-del\u00e0 de tout, il affirme d\u2019ailleurs \u00ab&nbsp;Tu verras des choses plus grandes encore. \u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">J\u00e9sus d\u00e9teste l\u2019hypocrisie, la duplicit\u00e9, il nous le fait comprendre \u00e0 de nombreuses reprises lorsque nous voyons ses r\u00e9actions dans le contact avec des groupes religieux qui tentent de le prendre au pi\u00e8ge, des personnes qui sont sceptiques et qui ne sont pas ouvertes \u00e0 la v\u00e9rit\u00e9. Mais cette fois Il se r\u00e9v\u00e8le, car il a trouv\u00e9 un homme honn\u00eate. Le terme \u00ab Isra\u00e9lite \u00bb rappelle sans doute dans cette appellation l&#8217;histoire de Jacob dans l\u2019Ancien Testament, qui avait lui aussi \u00e9t\u00e9 \u00ab&nbsp;trompeur&nbsp;\u00bb si on se rappelle l\u2019\u00e9pisode avec son fr\u00e8re jumeau Esa\u00fc, \u00e0 qui il a vol\u00e9 son droit d\u2019ainesse, mais qui est devenu loyal apr\u00e8s sa lutte avec Dieu, et J\u00e9sus pr\u00e9sente en quelque sorte Nathana\u00ebl comme l&#8217;image accomplie de cet homme int\u00e8gre, sans aucun artifice. Quel est donc le message que ce passage de l\u2019Evangile de Saint Jean essaie de nous transmettre ? Ne serait-ce pas de valoriser l\u2019ordinaire de la vie sans \u00ab ruse \u00bb, sans tromperie, et de mani\u00e8re positive on pourrait encore dire \u00ab&nbsp;en toute honn\u00eatet\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb, ou ce qu\u2019on pourrait appeler aujourd\u2019hui \u00ab&nbsp;en suivant notre conscience&nbsp;\u00bb \u00e0 chaque instant. J\u00e9sus nous encourage \u00e0 faire de l\u2019ordinaire de&nbsp; notre vie le chemin pour arriver \u00e0 la v\u00e9ritable saintet\u00e9, faisant de chaque action un acte d\u2019amour pour nos prochains. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">C\u2019est sur cette base qu\u2019il se r\u00e9v\u00e8lera toujours davantage \u00e0 nous, nous illuminant de sa sagesse \u00ab&nbsp;\u2026 Amen, amen, je vous le dis : vous verrez le ciel ouvert, et les anges de Dieu monter et descendre au-dessus du Fils de l\u2019homme. \u00bb R\u00e9cemment, juste apr\u00e8s avoir entendu le passage d\u2019Evangile sur \u00ab&nbsp;aimer vos ennemis&nbsp;\u00bb je me rends dans un parking sous-terrain et je me retrouve involontairement sur le chemin d\u2019une autre personne qui d\u00e9sire sortir de ce parking et je la g\u00eane dans sa man\u0153uvre.
