Des chagrins scandalisent et nous tr\u00e9buchons. Sous cette pluie glaciale, la foi tremble. Alors, le d\u00e9sespoir et le sentiment de l\u2019absurde nous menacent pour soup\u00e7onner la bont\u00e9 du Cr\u00e9ateur. Face \u00e0 une existence dure, nous mendions les consolations du monde comme des orphelins. Mais, cette aide, qui ne consistent qu\u2019\u00e0 se divertir, n\u2019aide pas. En serrant les dents, on fait comme si\u2026 au lieu de vivre sa souffrance. On guette une compensation. On poursuit le substitut qui produira magiquement cet \u00e9quivalent en bonheur qui nous remboursera de notre peine. Dans la d\u00e9tresse, un culte moderne se met en place. Les centres commerciaux sont les temples o\u00f9 se vit cette transaction illusoire : on ach\u00e8te ce qui nous permettra d\u2019oublier ce que nous sommes. Mais, ces solutions, qui ne sont pas \u00e0 la hauteur du mal subi, ne soignent pas. Elles ne compensent rien, ne remplacent rien. Le trou creus\u00e9 par la douleur ne se referme pas. C\u2019est pourquoi, beaucoup de nos contemporains m\u00e9prisent le mot de \u00ab&nbsp;consolation&nbsp;\u00bb, ou le beau titre de \u00ab&nbsp;Consolateur&nbsp;\u00bb que la tradition donne \u00e0 l\u2019Esprit-Saint.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pourtant, nous sommes des Fils et nous ne sommes pas perdus. J\u00e9sus envoie l\u2019Esprit-Saint sous le nom du D\u00e9fenseur : Il s\u2019agit du \u00ab&nbsp;parakl\u00e8tos&nbsp;\u00bb. Certaines traductions conservent ce mot grec sous le vocable de \u00ab&nbsp;Paraclet&nbsp;\u00bb. Le verbe grec \u00ab&nbsp;para-kal\u00e9o&nbsp;\u00bb signifie \u00eatre appel\u00e9 pour passer un obstacle, \u00eatre soutenu par un appel. Ce verbe se traduit de plusieurs mani\u00e8res en fran\u00e7ais. Il d\u00e9signe le fait de consoler pour traverser une peine, d\u2019aider \u00e0 surmonter une exigence, d\u2019encourager face \u00e0 une difficult\u00e9. Le traducteur s\u2019adapte au contexte. Cette diversit\u00e9 de traduction n\u2019est pas \u00e9trange, puisque l\u2019Esprit-Saint lui-m\u00eame module son aide selon les circonstances. L\u2019Esprit-Saint agit par la consolation aupr\u00e8s d\u2019une m\u00e8re qui berce un enfant malade. Il dispense l\u2019encouragement avec ce p\u00e8re qui stimule son enfant devant un devoir \u00e0 assumer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Face aux \u00e9preuves qui jalonnent la vie, J\u00e9sus pr\u00e9pare ses disciples. On r\u00eaverait d\u2019une vie spirituelle \u00e9th\u00e9r\u00e9e\u2026 Mais, le Christ ne nous invite jamais \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9vasion. Car, un voyage au pays imaginaire sera toujours moins riche que le r\u00e9el ! L\u2019Esprit-Saint ne d\u00e9fait jamais l\u2019oeuvre de l\u2019Incarnation. Bien-s\u00fbr, nul n\u2019\u00e9chappe aux cahots de la vie. C\u2019est pourquoi, J\u00e9sus parle du plus douloureux : rencontrer au sein de sa communaut\u00e9 les pers\u00e9cutions. J\u00e9sus met en garde les croyants contre les perversions qui retournent la t\u00eate : Il \u00e9voque l\u2019usage du culte rendu \u00e0 Dieu qui sera invoqu\u00e9 pour justifier les violences. On souillera le vocabulaire le plus saint pour satisfaire des passions. Que les exemples sont nombreux !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais, face \u00e0 ces dangers, le Christ promet un soutien actif et l\u2019inventivit\u00e9 de l\u2019Esprit-Saint surprend toujours ! Il t\u00e9moigne qu\u2019en dessous des blessures, un amour originel aspire \u00e0 \u00e9clore. En dessous des impasses, une esp\u00e9rance perce les pesanteurs. Le Christ envoie son Esprit au secours des hommes. C\u2019est dans le tumulte de cette vie que notre \u00ab&nbsp;D\u00e9fenseur&nbsp;\u00bb se montre \u00ab&nbsp;un secours dans la d\u00e9tresse toujours offert&nbsp;\u00bb (Ps 45).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019esprit orphelin de P\u00e8re reste infantile. Tout lui est \u00e0 charge. Sans P\u00e8re, le monde est pour lui un d\u00e9sert. En guerre contre lui-m\u00eame, il bute contre tout. Mais, l\u2019esprit filial, vivifi\u00e9 par le D\u00e9fenseur, consid\u00e8re les obstacles comme des occasions de se conna\u00eetre et de d\u00e9couvrir le P\u00e8re. Ce que l\u2019on appelle la \u00ab&nbsp;r\u00e9alit\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb n\u2019est jamais une chose pr\u00e9-fabriqu\u00e9e qui n\u2019attendrait que notre soumission. La r\u00e9alit\u00e9, sauv\u00e9e par le Fils, n\u2019est pas d\u00e9j\u00e0 toute-faite. Vivre dans un monde dans lequel, nous avons un D\u00e9fenseur change les choses. Sous le regard du P\u00e8re, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 n\u2019est pas enferm\u00e9e dans une fatalit\u00e9. Au contraire, dans l\u2019Esprit, la r\u00e9alit\u00e9 bouge et prend forme sous notre regard. L\u2019\u00ab \u0153il sain&nbsp;\u00bb (Mt 6,22) soup\u00e8se le monde. Dans le combat de la vie, le disciple \u00ab bien form\u00e9&nbsp;\u00bb (Lc 6,40) d\u00e9couvre l\u2019Esprit \u00e0 ses c\u00f4t\u00e9s. Le croyant r\u00e9alise cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9 par un mouvement qui embrasse les objets sur le chemin et les personnes qui cheminent. Cette r\u00e9alit\u00e9 vivante ne se d\u00e9couvre que dans une lutte contre ce qui, en soi et autour de soi, r\u00e9tr\u00e9cit la vie. L\u2019action du D\u00e9fenseur r\u00e9veille ce qui ne vit pas. Ce mouvement dans notre vie, c\u2019est la Sainte-Trinit\u00e9 en acte. Ce n\u2019est pas une th\u00e9orie abstraite sur Dieu, mais une croissance de la vie. Le D\u00e9fenseur fait de nous des Fils en nous rappelant notre origine vivifiante dans le P\u00e8re. Dans ce combat quotidien, qui fait de nous des Fils, le D\u00e9fenseur r\u00e9v\u00e8le Son action. Le vent, nul ne l\u2019attrape dans ses mains. L\u2019arbre par son fr\u00e9missement rend sonore le vent invisible.
