La mesure que vous utilisez sera utilis\u00e9e pour vous&nbsp;\u00bb (Mc 4,&nbsp;21-25)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En ce temps-l\u00e0, J\u00e9sus disait \u00e0 la foule : \u00ab Est-ce que la lampe est apport\u00e9e pour \u00eatre mise sous le boisseau ou sous le lit ? N\u2019est-ce pas pour \u00eatre mise sur le lampadaire ? Car rien n\u2019est cach\u00e9, sinon pour \u00eatre manifest\u00e9 ; rien n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 gard\u00e9 secret, sinon pour venir \u00e0 la clart\u00e9. Si quelqu\u2019un a des oreilles pour entendre, qu\u2019il entende ! \u00bb<br>Il leur disait encore : \u00ab Faites attention \u00e0 ce que vous entendez ! Tous et toutes devisent sur l\u2019avenir, le leur, celui qui recevra leur appel, s\u2019inscrira dans leur mission si singuli\u00e8re et si unique. Confiants malgr\u00e9 le chaos de ce monde si peu accueillant, deux d\u2019entre eux souhaitent que leur m\u00e9tier les extirpe de l\u2019impuissance ambiante et devienne empreinte de bont\u00e9 pour ce monde. J\u2019en \u00e9tais \u00e0 cet \u00e9merveillement&nbsp;: faire fructifier les talents donn\u00e9s, mettre sous le lampadaire cette vie lumineuse afin qu\u2019elle brille et nous \u00e9claire les uns les autres. Je les contemplais ainsi lorsque l\u2019un d\u2019eux, le plus jeune de mes fils, refusa de se pr\u00eater au jeu. Qu\u2019adviendra-t-il ? Aucune id\u00e9e, haussement d\u2019\u00e9paule, l\u2019air nonchalant si typique des adolescents. Puis, devant le silence insistant, il confirme la peur. Celle-l\u00e0 m\u00eame qui se drape si souvent de cette indolence fabriqu\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019aide de lambeaux d\u2019angoisse&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;Je ne veux juste pas finir seul&nbsp;\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Finir seul<\/em>\u2026 D\u2019abord \u00ab&nbsp;finir&nbsp;\u00bb. Dans la bouche de la jeunesse qu\u00e9b\u00e9coise, \u00ab&nbsp;finir&nbsp;\u00bb signifie se retrouver quelque part entre <em>aboutir<\/em> et <em>\u00e9teindre<\/em>. Comme une lampe mise sous un lit au fond d\u2019une chambre plong\u00e9e dans une nuit gard\u00e9e par la porte que l\u2019on tient bien ferm\u00e9e. La flamme vacillante n\u2019est ni vue ni entendue ni reconnue malgr\u00e9 sa chaleur, son \u00e9clat et son intensit\u00e9. L\u2019affirmation si vraie et poignante d\u2019un enfant de 13 ans qui a peur de <em>finir seul,<\/em> c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire isol\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 s\u2019\u00e9teindre est une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 sociale que personne ne veut voir. Une enqu\u00eate intitul\u00e9e <em>La solitude au Canada<\/em> r\u00e9v\u00e8le que chez les 15 \u00e0 24 ans, une jeune personne sur quatre se sent souvent ou toujours seule. Dans ce pays riche et accueillant, le vivre-ensemble se r\u00e9v\u00e8le un vivre ensemble seuls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sa s\u0153ur, si rationnelle, tente de le rassurer en lui rappelant qu\u2019il est bien entour\u00e9 avec sa famille, ses amis. Mais cet entourage re\u00e7oit-il vraiment son \u00e9clairage ? Tenons-nous la porte bien ferm\u00e9e ou nous effor\u00e7ons-nous de mettre l\u2019esp\u00e9rance que nous leur portons sur le lampadaire ? N\u2019est-ce pas l\u00e0 une responsabilit\u00e9 partag\u00e9e ? Son fr\u00e8re a\u00een\u00e9 tente \u00e0 son tour de le consoler en l\u2019informant que chaque ann\u00e9e plusieurs d\u00e9pouilles ne sont pas r\u00e9clam\u00e9es. \u00c7a pourrait \u00eatre encore pire! Ces vies qui se tarissent sur le trottoir, au creux de la pr\u00e9carit\u00e9 vorace ou dans la violence d\u2019un milieu mortif\u00e8re. En 2023, au Qu\u00e9bec, ce fut 1143 corps qui ne furent pas r\u00e9clam\u00e9s (<em>La Presse<\/em>, 26 janvier 2026). 1143 lueurs \u00e9teintes dans l\u2019indiff\u00e9rence d\u00e9mesur\u00e9e. 1143 vies mises sous le boisseau, ce contenant cylindrique servant \u00e0 mesurer du bl\u00e9, du charbon, du sel. 1143 vies sans valeur, emport\u00e9es dans l\u2019isolement le plus complet. Malgr\u00e9 le dessert app\u00e9tissant, l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re de la tabl\u00e9e \u00e9tait solidement plomb\u00e9e.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>S\u2019engager dans la mission, r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 sa mission, n\u2019est-ce pas d\u00e9j\u00e0 porter l\u2019esp\u00e9rance pour l\u2019autre et le monde ? N\u2019est-ce pas l\u00e0 le sens profond de cette vie qui tire sa lumi\u00e8re de Son esp\u00e9rance pour nous et qui nous est confi\u00e9e ? Une esp\u00e9rance que l\u2019on ne peut garder pour soi pour ne pas penser \u00e0 finir seul. Car celui qui a l\u2019esp\u00e9rance, la vie se donnera \u00e0 lui par autrui et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la communaut\u00e9; celui qui n\u2019a pas d\u2019esp\u00e9rance, la vie s\u2019enl\u00e8vera, s\u2019\u00e9teindra sous le poids de l\u2019isolement et de l\u2019indiff\u00e9rence.
