En passant, il aper\u00e7ut L\u00e9vi, fils d\u2019Alph\u00e9e, assis au bureau des imp\u00f4ts. Il lui dit : \u00ab Suis-moi. \u00bb L\u2019homme se leva et le suivit.<br>Comme J\u00e9sus \u00e9tait \u00e0 table dans la maison de L\u00e9vi, beaucoup de publicains (c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire des collecteurs d\u2019imp\u00f4ts) et beaucoup de p\u00e9cheurs vinrent prendre place avec J\u00e9sus et ses disciples, car ils \u00e9taient nombreux \u00e0 le suivre. Les scribes du groupe des pharisiens, voyant qu\u2019il mangeait avec les p\u00e9cheurs et les publicains, disaient \u00e0 ses disciples : \u00ab Comment ! Il mange avec les publicains et les p\u00e9cheurs ! \u00bb J\u00e9sus, qui avait entendu, leur d\u00e9clara : \u00ab Ce ne sont pas les gens bien portants qui ont besoin du m\u00e9decin, mais les malades. J\u00e9sus y est en sortie\u2026 Glissons-nous au c\u0153ur de cette foule qui vient \u00e0 lui\u2026 \u00c9coutons son enseignement\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mais que fait-il?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il va vers L\u00e9vi\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u00e9vi, ce collecteur d\u2019imp\u00f4t au service de l\u2019autorit\u00e9 romaine, ce paria qui a reni\u00e9 ses racines de fils d\u2019Isra\u00ebl, ce publicain dont le travail fait de lui un p\u00e9cheur et un impur\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u00e9sus va vers lui\u2026 il le regarde\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sans aucun reproche, il lui dit \u00ab&nbsp;<em>Suis-moi<\/em>&nbsp;\u00bb\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il ne lui parle pas de conversion\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il l\u2019appelle au c\u0153ur m\u00eame de son quotidien\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Seigneur, ta rencontre avec L\u00e9vi m\u2019interpelle aujourd\u2019hui&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tu sais comment souvent, il m\u2019arrive d\u2019\u00eatre l\u00e0, bien assis dans ma routine, dans mes certitudes, dans mon confort, collectant ce qui me parait juste&nbsp;: entre autres ces fameuses reconnaissances qui me font me sentir quelqu\u2019un, ou encore ce faux salut acquis par mes efforts, mes m\u00e9rites, mes rituels bien suivis\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oui, Toi Seigneur, l\u00e0 dans mon quotidien, tu poses ton regard sur moi\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tu m\u2019aper\u00e7ois\u2026 l\u00e0 o\u00f9 je suis assis, install\u00e9 dans un syst\u00e8me de pens\u00e9es, parfois complice de mon mal-\u00eatre, paralys\u00e9 en quelque sorte\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et tout doucement, mais aussi avec vigueur, tu me dis&nbsp;: \u00ab&nbsp;<em>Suis-moi&nbsp;<\/em>\u00bb !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ton appel est tellement fort en moi\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ta Parole me met debout int\u00e9rieurement et mon corps suit le mouvement\u2026 litt\u00e9ralement !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je me l\u00e8ve et je te suis\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On va o\u00f9 Seigneur?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Suis-moi<\/em>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je te ram\u00e8ne \u00e0 la maison, chez toi, \u00e0 ta table, \u00e0 ce lieu de communion\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sors de la peur devant les sentiers nouveaux,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>sors de la honte o\u00f9 le regard des autres a pu te mener&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je te restaure dans ta dignit\u00e9 de fils bien-aim\u00e9, de fille bien-aim\u00e9e\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sors de la peur, sors de la honte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre chez toi, avec moi!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Entre chez toi avec ceux et celles qui d\u00e9sirent me suivre, m\u2019entendre de pr\u00e8s ou de loin, hommes et femmes en recherche, tous p\u00e9cheurs mais tous tourn\u00e9s vers moi\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u2019am\u00e8ne \u00e0 ta table une nouvelle communaut\u00e9 et je suis l\u00e0 au milieu de vous\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le pharisien en toi, celui qui distingue le pur et l\u2019impur, celui qui croit que la conversion doit pr\u00e9c\u00e9der la communion<sup>1<\/sup>, ce pharisien qui vit en toi, je ne le condamne pas, je l\u2019invite \u00e0 la table\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le p\u00e9cheur en toi, celui qui vit enferm\u00e9 sur lui-m\u00eame, je ne le condamne pas\u2026 je l\u2019appelle \u00e0 rena\u00eetre, \u00e0 entrer dans la filiation<sup>1<\/sup>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Je suis l\u00e0 au milieu pour t\u2019unifier\u2026 oui le pharisien et le p\u00e9cheur en toi pourront manger \u00e0 la m\u00eame table, justifi\u00e9s, retourn\u00e9s vers moi\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>et tu pourras accueillir \u00e0 ta table, avec moi, l\u2019Humanit\u00e9 bless\u00e9e et souffrante\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Et je serai votre m\u00e9decin, je mangerai avec vous, je vous soignerai, <em>oui, je vais cicatriser et gu\u00e9rir vos plaies<\/em><sup>2<\/sup>, je vous rel\u00e8verai, je renouvellerai vos forces, <em>j\u2019\u00f4terai de votre chair le c\u0153ur de pierre, je vous donnerai un c\u0153ur de chai<\/em><em>r<\/em> <sup>3<\/sup>, <em>je vous rendrai la vue, les sourds entendront, les muets parleront, les boiteux marcheront <\/em><sup>4<\/sup>\u2026 je pardonnerai ce p\u00e9ch\u00e9 qui constitue la v\u00e9ritable maladie, je vous sauverai, vous serez libres, <em>je vous donnerai la vie en abondance <\/em><sup>5<\/sup>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Oui\u2026.
