Le premier lui dit : \u201cJ\u2019ai achet\u00e9 un champ, et je suis oblig\u00e9 d\u2019aller le voir ; je t\u2019en prie, excuse-moi.\u201d Un autre dit : \u201cJ\u2019ai achet\u00e9 cinq paires de b\u0153ufs, et je pars les essayer ; je t\u2019en prie, excuse-moi.\u201d Un troisi\u00e8me dit : \u201cJe viens de me marier, et c\u2019est pourquoi je ne peux pas venir.\u201d De retour, le serviteur rapporta ces paroles \u00e0 son ma\u00eetre. Alors, pris de col\u00e8re, le ma\u00eetre de maison dit \u00e0 son serviteur : \u201cD\u00e9p\u00eache-toi d\u2019aller sur les places et dans les rues de la ville ; les pauvres, les estropi\u00e9s, les aveugles et les boiteux, am\u00e8ne-les ici.\u201d Le serviteur revint lui dire : \u201cMa\u00eetre, ce que tu as ordonn\u00e9 est ex\u00e9cut\u00e9, et il reste encore de la place.\u201d Le ma\u00eetre dit alors au serviteur : \u201cVa sur les routes et dans les sentiers, et fais entrer les gens de force, afin que ma maison soit remplie. Pour ce faire, Dieu aurait d\u00e9pos\u00e9 en chaque \u00eatre humain ce m\u00eame d\u00e9sir. Et l\u2019amour n\u2019est-il pas la rencontre de deux d\u00e9sirs ?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Au long de son minist\u00e8re pastoral, J\u00e9sus a tout fait pour \u00e9veiller chez les personnes qu\u2019Il c\u00f4toyait ce d\u00e9sir du Royaume, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire d\u2019\u00eatre avec son P\u00e8re. Ainsi, lorsqu\u2019un pharisien Lui mentionne toute la joie que l\u2019on devrait vivre \u00e0 participer \u00e0 un repas dans le Royaume, il n\u2019en fallait pas plus \u00e0 J\u00e9sus pour saisir l\u2019occasion de raconter une parabole au sujet du Royaume de Dieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le Royaume est un monde o\u00f9 nous sommes attendus par Dieu. Et pour que le Seigneur soit assur\u00e9 que nous ne passions pas \u00e0 c\u00f4t\u00e9 de ce Royaume, Il prend soin de nous adresser une invitation personnalis\u00e9e pour assister au repas qu\u2019Il nous a pr\u00e9par\u00e9. Dans les faits, cette invitation s\u2019apparente tr\u00e8s bien \u00e0 un appel de mission, aussi petite soit-elle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combien de fois avons-nous entendu Dieu nous demander de nous unir \u00e0 Lui pour un geste \u00e0 poser envers quelqu\u2019un qui en avait besoin ? Cela a pu prendre la forme d\u2019une invitation \u00e0 aller visiter une personne malade ou qui vivait de la solitude, ou une sollicitation par un organisme \u00e0 nous engager pour venir en aide \u00e0 des gens d\u00e9munis, ou encore de nous investir dans une vocation de relation d\u2019aide, ou tout simplement de nous faire pr\u00e9sent \u00e0 une personne vivant une p\u00e9riode difficile dans sa vie, etc, etc, etc&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Combien d\u2019excuses avons-nous formul\u00e9es pour ne pas avoir \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 ces appels de Dieu pour nos semblables ? Bien des fois, nos occupations du moment ou nos responsabilit\u00e9s ont pris toute la place dans notre vie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heureusement, le Seigneur ne d\u00e9sesp\u00e8re pas de notre peu d\u2019enthousiasme \u00e0 son invitation. Il nous relance sans cesse dans l\u2019esp\u00e9rance que nous revenions sur notre d\u00e9cision et que nous acceptions de participer avec Lui \u00e0 la venue de son Royaume. D\u00e9cliner son invitation c\u2019est manquer l\u2019occasion de go\u00fbter la joie de devenir ce pourquoi nous sommes faits et que nous avons cherch\u00e9 toute notre vie. \u00c0 chaque fois que nous r\u00e9pondons favorablement \u00e0 son appel, c\u2019est une victoire sur notre \u00e9go\u00efsme, et notre individualisme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Malheureux celui ou celle qui place son int\u00e9r\u00eat personnel au-dessus de celui de Dieu. Ici, il ne faut pas voir en cela une condamnation ou un ch\u00e2timent, mais plut\u00f4t comme une occasion manqu\u00e9e de nous unir \u00e0 Dieu. En effet, le repas qu\u2019Il pr\u00e9pare pour nous dans le Royaume est pour les humbles de c\u0153ur et tous ceux et celles qui le sont en devenir. Ainsi, nous pourrons dire comme J\u00e9sus&nbsp;: Heureux ceux qui ont un c\u0153ur de pauvre, car le Royaume de Dieu est \u00e0 eux. (Mt 5, 3) En effet, le pauvre est celui qui par son \u00e9tat et sa nature, n\u2019a qu\u2019un seul d\u00e9sir qui est celui de s\u2019unir au Consolateur pour Lui partager ce qu\u2019il vit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participer au repas pr\u00e9par\u00e9 pour nous dans le Royaume rend heureux.
