Mt 13, 1-23 ; Mc 4, 1-20 ; Luc 8, 4-15). \u00c0 la diff\u00e9rence de ces \u00c9vangiles, o\u00f9 la semence est identifi\u00e9e \u00e0 la Parole de Dieu, chez saint Jean, c\u2019est J\u00e9sus lui-m\u00eame qui s\u2019identifie avec ce qui est la graine. Cette graine meurt jet\u00e9e dans le sol du tombeau pour porter un fruit abondant de r\u00e9surrection.&nbsp; Quiconque veut l&#8217;imiter en cela suit le m\u00eame chemin et s&#8217;unit \u00e0 sa gloire. Elle se r\u00e9v\u00e8le le plus pleinement dans l\u2019 \u00ab&nbsp;\u00e9l\u00e9vation sur la croix \u00bb. La croix d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment assum\u00e9e et choisie par le Christ exprime le plus pleinement sa gloire. En lui est enracin\u00e9 le myst\u00e8re de la fertilit\u00e9 du grain, car c&#8217;est de lui que jaillit la vie. L&#8217;\u00e9go\u00efsme, la fuite et l&#8217;\u00e9vitement de la croix sont st\u00e9riles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Cet \u00e9vangile nous est donn\u00e9e \u00e0 m\u00e9diter quand l\u2019\u00c9glise canadienne c\u00e9l\u00e8bre le m\u00e9moire des saints martyrs canadiens&nbsp;: Jean de Br\u00e9beuf, Noel Chabanel, Antoine Daniel, Charles Garnier, Ren\u00e9 Goupil, Isaac Jogues, Jean de la Lande et Gabriel Lalemant, les porteurs de la Bonne Nouvelle au Canada. Au milieu du 17\u1d49 si\u00e8cle, ils sont partis de la France, en r\u00e9pondant \u00e0 l\u2019invitation de J\u00e9sus d\u2019aller et de proclamer l\u2019\u00c9vangile \u00e0 toutes les nations (cf. Mt 28, 19)*. Ils aimaient la vie, ils aimaient les aventures, mais de plus ils aimaient le Christ et ils voulaient le servir et le suivre. Pr\u00e9voyaient-ils qu&#8217;ils seraient des martyrs en se rendant dans ce pays lointain ? Il est probable que non. Ils ont simplement \u00e9t\u00e9 fid\u00e8les au Christ jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la fin. Dans ces circonstances des offensives des Iroquois contre les Hurons, leurs vies \u00e9taient broy\u00e9es comme du grain, mais leur mort est devenue une semence pour de nouveaux chr\u00e9tiens et de nouvelles vocations monastiques. Jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 aujourd&#8217;hui, nous b\u00e9n\u00e9ficions des fruits qui ont germ\u00e9 et qui ont fa\u00e7onn\u00e9 la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, en la faisant fermenter avec le levain du royaume de Dieu. Ils ont perdu la vie, mais ils continuent \u00e0 vivre dans leurs \u0153uvres et dans la m\u00e9moire de l\u2019\u00c9glise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 contemporaine, nous faisons face \u00e0 d&#8217;autres d\u00e9fis; nous sommes impliqu\u00e9s dans d&#8217;autres luttes et affrontements que ceux qui pr\u00e9valaient au XVII\u1d49 si\u00e8cle. Cependant, nous pouvons nous inspirer de l\u2019exemple de ces martyrs pour servir le Christ et le suivre jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 la fin, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 nous sommes. Nous sommes tous appel\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00eatre des t\u00e9moins de V\u00e9rit\u00e9 et d\u2019Amour.\u00a0Cela ne signifie pas que nous sommes tous appel\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00eatre des martyrs pour la foi, bien qu&#8217;il y ait encore de nombreux endroits dans le monde o\u00f9 les chr\u00e9tiens versent vraiment leur sang pour le Christ. Souvent, cela se fera de mani\u00e8re discr\u00e8te et cach\u00e9e, dans le travail quotidien bien fait, dans le souci de la famille, dans la fid\u00e9lit\u00e9 aux amis, dans la proximit\u00e9 avec les pauvres et les malades. C\u2019est aussi une fa\u00e7on de transformer le monde de l&#8217;int\u00e9rieur, par une vie enracin\u00e9e en Dieu et consacr\u00e9e au service des autres.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Aujourd\u2019hui le Christ nous rappelle que nous sommes cr\u00e9\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019image et \u00e0 la ressemblance de Dieu Amour. Il n\u2019y a pas d\u2019autre chemin pour nous \u00e9panouir et r\u00e9aliser profond\u00e9ment le potentiel cach\u00e9 en nous que la voie d\u2019amour, le don d\u00e9sint\u00e9ress\u00e9 de nous-m\u00eames.
