Mais qui est cet homme dont j\u2019entends dire de telles choses&nbsp;?&nbsp;\u00bb (Lc 9,&nbsp;7-9)<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">En ce temps-l\u00e0, H\u00e9rode, qui \u00e9tait au pouvoir en Galil\u00e9e, entendit parler de tout ce qui se passait et il ne savait que penser. En effet, certains disaient que Jean le Baptiste \u00e9tait ressuscit\u00e9 d\u2019entre les morts. D\u2019autres disaient : \u00ab C\u2019est le proph\u00e8te \u00c9lie qui est apparu. \u00bb D\u2019autres encore : \u00ab C\u2019est un proph\u00e8te d\u2019autrefois qui est ressuscit\u00e9. \u00bb Quant \u00e0 H\u00e9rode, il disait : \u00ab Jean, je l\u2019ai fait d\u00e9capiter. Je ne suis pas de nature pessimiste et la vierge qui m\u2019habite n\u2019est pas offens\u00e9e. Mais le d\u00e9sarroi de H\u00e9rode me rejoint malgr\u00e9 moi. Sa haine de la vie, sa toute-puissance rev\u00eatue de certitude le conduit \u00e0 la confusion. La confusion entre ce qui mort parce qu\u2019il a tu\u00e9, et vivant par ce qui lui \u00e9chappe. Je ne peux m\u2019emp\u00eacher d\u2019y retrouver, en un concentr\u00e9 inqui\u00e9tant, tout l\u2019horizon politique p\u00e9tri de meurtres, de technologie tyrannique et d\u2019absurdit\u00e9 haineuse qui se d\u00e9ploie actuellement devant nous. Au c\u0153ur d\u2019une avanc\u00e9e effr\u00e9n\u00e9e traduite comme un progr\u00e8s fataliste et qui escamote tout effort de r\u00e9flexion, autant individuel que collectif, les fronti\u00e8res se brouillent et la mort absorbe. S\u2019en d\u00e9gage un \u00e9pais vernis de long\u00e9vit\u00e9 inerte et paralys\u00e9e. Entre les conditionnements politique des enfants et leur genre, l\u2019ass\u00e9nement de la responsabilit\u00e9 de prendre sa fin de vie en main et les g\u00e9nocides qui n\u2019indignent plus nos dirigeants, la mort absorbe la vie comme s\u2019il ne pouvait en \u00eatre autrement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Assis sur nos tr\u00f4nes, d\u00e9tach\u00e9s de toutes relations, nous en regardons d\u00e9filer sur des \u00e9crans des vies pleines de morts, p\u00e9tries d\u2019une violence aussi inou\u00efe que d\u2019une souffrance inaudible. Absorb\u00e9s \u00e0 notre tour, nous ne savons que penser. Or la difficult\u00e9 n\u2019est pas d\u2019avoir \u00e0 choisir entre la vie et la mort, mais de ne pas savoir \u00e9tablir la distinction entre ce qui est mort et ce qui est vivant devant ce r\u00e9el d\u00e9figur\u00e9, maquill\u00e9 et d\u00e9ferlant. Un semblant de vie happant au passage nos peurs, nos blessures, faussant nos perceptions de nous-m\u00eames, des autres et de Dieu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>La vie et la mort sont propos\u00e9es aux hommes<\/em> (Si 15.17) \u00e0 tout instant. M\u00e9diter le d\u00e9sarroi de H\u00e9rode qui demeure, pour Dieu, l\u2019un des n\u00f4tres, nous rappelle que notre histoire personnelle et collective s\u2019inscrit en Dieu. <em>J\u2019ai mis devant toi la vie et la mort, choisis la vie afin que tu vives<\/em> (Dt 30.19). Il est l\u2019unique source de vie, et rend vivants ceux et celles qui marche avec lui dans le clair-obscur et l\u2019indulgence. La v\u00e9rit\u00e9 du vivant de ce Dieu qui se donne \u00e0 travers nous est saisie dans la Parabole de la brebis perdue. Aucun discours th\u00e9ologique, aucune certitude morale, aucune explication rationnelle, ne vient \u00e0 bout de contenir le vivant qui s\u2019en \u00e9chappe. S\u2019est-elle \u00e9gar\u00e9e alors que le troupeau demeurait ensemble? Elle a peut-\u00eatre \u00e9t\u00e9 infid\u00e8le et prodigue. Dans tous les cas, elle n\u2019a manifest\u00e9 aucune repentance ni m\u00eame d\u00e9sir de revenir, comme le fils prodigue qu\u2019elle a sans doute crois\u00e9. Laissant l\u00e0 tout le troupeau, le Sauveur part \u00e0 sa recherche, pour elle, uniquement et \u00e9trangement. Il nous confronte dans notre confusion de ce qui est bien et vivant, de ce qui est mal et mortif\u00e8re. Alors que nous ne savons que penser. Pas d\u2019explications, pas de mise en garde, un geste en apparence irresponsable qui devient r\u00e9ponse \u00e0 une v\u00e9rit\u00e9 profonde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dans les \u00e9vangiles, ses explications foisonnantes de sa filiation divine n\u2019auront convaincu que quelques disciples, elles auront endurci les c\u0153urs pharisiens jusqu\u2019\u00e0 la condamnation. Seul un c\u0153ur bon, une \u00e2me simple, acquiescent \u00e0 tout quitter pour les \u00e9gar\u00e9s. Dans le r\u00e9el, nous ne choisissons pas la vie ou la mort, mais nos choix manifestent si nous sommes vivants ou morts. Ils donnent vie, font lien, illuminent lorsqu\u2019ils sont faits \u00e0 partir du c\u0153ur dans lequel Dieu s\u2019est r\u00e9fugi\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019abri des certitudes, de la morale et de la
