Le jour venu, il appela ses disciples et en choisit douze auxquels il donna le nom d\u2019Ap\u00f4tres : Simon, auquel il donna le nom de Pierre, Andr\u00e9 son fr\u00e8re, Jacques, Jean, Philippe, Barth\u00e9lemy, Matthieu, Thomas, Jacques fils d\u2019Alph\u00e9e, Simon appel\u00e9 le Z\u00e9lote, Jude fils de Jacques, et Judas Iscariote, qui devint un tra\u00eetre.<br>J\u00e9sus descendit de la montagne avec eux et s\u2019arr\u00eata sur un terrain plat. Il y avait l\u00e0 un grand nombre de ses disciples et une grande multitude de gens venus de toute la Jud\u00e9e, de J\u00e9rusalem, et du littoral de Tyr et de Sidon. Ils \u00e9taient venus l\u2019entendre et se faire gu\u00e9rir de leurs maladies ; ceux qui \u00e9taient tourment\u00e9s par des esprits impurs retrouvaient la sant\u00e9. Afin d\u2019en limiter la port\u00e9e, nous allons regarder de plus pr\u00e8s l\u2019une des \u00e9tapes relev\u00e9es par saint Luc, soit la pri\u00e8re de J\u00e9sus \u00e0 son P\u00e8re, pr\u00e9c\u00e9dant l\u2019appel qu\u2019Il a fait \u00e0 douze de ses disciples par la suite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u00e9sus se rend \u00e0 la montagne, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire dans un lieu isol\u00e9 pour prier son P\u00e8re toute la nuit avant de choisir ses douze Ap\u00f4tres. C\u2019est une d\u00e9cision importante, car il y passa toute la nuit avant de faire un choix. Qu\u2019est-ce que J\u00e9sus a bien pu dire et demander \u00e0 son P\u00e8re durant tout ce temps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissant aux circonstances o\u00f9 nous-m\u00eames avons \u00e9t\u00e9 en pri\u00e8re aussi longtemps, nous observons que c\u2019est lorsque nous avions une d\u00e9cision importante \u00e0 prendre qui avait un impact majeur sur notre vie ou encore sur celle de d\u2019autres qui nous sont chers. Voil\u00e0 sans doute les premiers indices de ce dont J\u00e9sus devait partager avec son P\u00e8re. Il savait que le choix de ses Ap\u00f4tres devait \u00eatre fait en respectant la libert\u00e9 de chacun et d\u2019avoir les aptitudes requises pour marcher avec Lui durant les ann\u00e9es de son minist\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De plus, son choix devait \u00eatre une repr\u00e9sentation de toutes les cat\u00e9gories de gens de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9. En effet, ses Ap\u00f4tres ne devaient pas repr\u00e9senter que les \u00e9lites du peuple d\u2019Isra\u00ebl. Il y aurait donc&nbsp;: des Galil\u00e9ens comme des Jud\u00e9ens, des personnes instruites comme des non instruites, des riches comme des pauvres, des gens issus du Temple comme du simple peuple, des intellectuels, des \u00e9motifs, des manuels, des personnes fortes et d\u2019autres plus fragiles, des vieux comme des jeunes, des humbles comme des orgueilleux, des hommes mari\u00e9s avec des enfants et d\u2019autres c\u00e9libataires, etc\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u00e9sus savait qu\u2019ils ne seraient pas parfaits et qu\u2019ils ne suffiraient pas \u00e0 la t\u00e2che qui les attendait. Il aurait \u00e0 les former et les instruire durant les prochaines ann\u00e9es et par-dessus tout, marcher avec eux en leur laissant la pleine libert\u00e9 de Le suivre lorsqu\u2019ils d\u00e9couvriraient au fur et \u00e0 mesure le mal auquel ils \u00e9taient confront\u00e9s. Ils auraient aussi \u00e0 vivre des combats spirituels tr\u00e8s importants et d\u2019\u00eatre, comme Lui, souvent rejet\u00e9s par leurs proches et leurs amis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u00e9sus savait qu\u2019Il exigerait beaucoup d\u2019eux et un jour, Il leur accorderait un don immense, celui de gu\u00e9rir les malades et de chasser les esprits impurs. Seraient-ils en mesure de ne pas c\u00e9der \u00e0 la tentation d\u2019utiliser ce pouvoir pour leur propre int\u00e9r\u00eat ? Comme tout \u00eatre humain, ils avaient eux aussi des besoins psychologiques non r\u00e9pondus comme celui d\u2019\u00eatre aim\u00e9, d\u2019\u00eatre reconnu, d\u2019\u00eatre admir\u00e9 et bien d\u2019autres. Il anticipait aussi le moment o\u00f9 Il devrait quitter notre monde, leur laissant la lourde t\u00e2che de guider le peuple vers son P\u00e8re. C\u2019est sans doute la raison pour laquelle J\u00e9sus leur associe un grand nombre de disciples tout au long de son minist\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>J\u00e9sus aurait sans doute aim\u00e9 les garder aupr\u00e8s de Lui et d\u2019en faire des personnes saintes avant de les envoyer en mission dans le monde. \u00c0 la place, Il choisit de les faire participer \u00e0 sa mission et de les accompagner dans leur maturation spirituelle jusqu\u2019\u00e0 ce qu\u2019ils deviennent les futurs chefs de son \u00c9glise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Comment J\u00e9sus s\u2019est-Il pris pour les inviter \u00e0 faire partie de cette mission ? Leur avait-Il laiss\u00e9 du temps pour r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 sa proposition avant de donner leur r\u00e9ponse ?
